URSSAF is an official government body responsible for collecting social security contributions from businesses. It also manages the Social Security treasury.

Well-known to the general public, this institution monitors the application of regulations, facilitates hiring, and manages reductions and exemptions from contributions.

To this end, URSSAF can create administrative simplification services.

This is the raison d'être of Mon-entreprise.fr, a platform whose aim is to answer all the questions of business creators, guiding them step by step in the realization of their projects.

Which legal status to choose? What are the steps involved in setting up a business? How do I hire new employees?

All the answers are on Mon-entreprise.fr. Let's discover all the advantages of this new service together!

Dossier: URSSAF and its new online platform

What is Mon-entreprise.fr?

Mon-entreprise.fr aims to respond to three major themes recurrent among company managers:

  • The formalities involved in setting up a business
  • Estimated contributions and taxes payable
  • Taking steps to hire one or more employees

Each major section offers personalized support for the entrepreneur, in the form of a guided questionnaire asking questions on a number of key topics:

  • Would you like to work alone or with others?
  • Are you a majority or minority manager?
  • Would you like to be treated as an employee or self-employed?

By following the suggested path, the platform will be able to tell you exactly which legal status is most suitable for your company.

The next step is to redirect you to the appropriate form to complete all the official formalities involved in setting up your company.

In the "Social protection" section, you'll find a guide to help you understand how contributions and taxes work under French tax law. In particular, you can estimate the additional social security contributions you need to anticipate when hiring a new employee.

A new "Declare my collaborative economy activity" section will soon be operational.

What are the changes for entrepreneurs?

This is the first time that a government body has set up a structure on this scale. Above all, it responds to a very strong expectation on the part of citizens: to simplify the process of setting up a business and encourage them to create their own structure.

In 2018, nearly 700,000 businesses were created in France, a record never reached before!

More often than not, lead times are too long, due in particular to the lack of paperless processes, and the procedure is deemed too complex and unreadable.

To remedy this problem, the government has created Mon-entreprise.fr, a single point of contact for business creators, whatever their project.

What other platforms are available for business start-ups?

Mon-entreprise.fr is not the only platform created to guide entrepreneurs. Other startups often go well beyond the simple delivery of documentation, and offer paid services to entrepreneurs.

Start You Up is part of the renowned law firm August Debouzy, and has created a platform of legal information and advice for other startups.

Other companies enable you to create, modify or liquidate a SARL, SAS, EURL or SCI.

Orson is awebsite creation assistant to help you get the word out about your project. This young startup takes charge of obtaining a domain name, creating the site, hosting it and storing the data.

Other startups all play their part in the overall effort to create and develop your business, creating a veritable ecosystem conducive to entrepreneurship.

Mon-entreprise.fr and the other online platforms are part of a common project: to dematerialize and simplify procedures in order to develop entrepreneurship.

Every year, self-employment grows in France, accompanied by a (relative) decline in salaried employment.

That's why Mon-entreprise.fr is such an essential platform for supporting these major changes in the job market.
